About

Who are you? I am a New Yorker.
Okay, not really. But I AM another displaced girl who has moved to the big city and is telling her tale to the world. The truth is, I've never felt more at home anywhere in my life. I'm kind of nomadic; I lived in four houses in the first seven years of my life. I don't believe in the word "hometown", but if I had to pick one at gunpoint, it would be on the sunny beaches of South Florida. I also spent four amazing years in the Swamp, getting my undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. I definitely had some wonderful experiences in Florida, don't get me wrong - but I was ready for bigger and better things. So now I'm adjusting to city life, fending for myself in the wild, and trying to become Jane, Queen of the Concrete Jungle.

Distilled to my essence.

What are you doing in NYC? Just living, man.
I'm a second year graduate student at Columbia University working towards a degree in Teaching American Sign Language as a Foreign Language. I'm also a part-time ASL teacher.
